Jo Stacey Gallery
Original works of art with every brush stroke dedicated to the horse Pheonix.
About Jo's Art
Jo’s work is reminiscent of impressionism. She is best known for her ability to bring to life the individual character of the subject and instil a sense of realism, motion, and vivid energy in a piece. Jo is regularly commissioned for human and pet portraits. Her love of horses is reflected in the subject matter of many of her pieces. She is a great supporter of the Earth and its wildlife, often painting the many wonderful animals, and in particular has painted regularly in support of the Australian Brumby.
About Jo
Jo S. Stacey is originally from New Zealand and has made Australia her home for the past 20 years. She had given away the idea of being an artist and put down the brush for over a decade, but then one day she rescued an ex-racer thoroughbred, and this single act reawakened her creative force. Every brush stroke and every completed piece has since been dedicated to that same horse – Phoenix.
